What Does Bridgeland Central Include, and Is It Built Yet?

Bridgeland Central is Bridgeland's town center — and depending on which piece you're asking about, the answer to "is it built yet" is yes, almost, or not until 2029.

Here's exactly what's open, what's under construction, and what's still on the drawing board as of July 2026, as part of The Bridgeland Seller Advantage series.

What's Already Open

The H-E-B anchoring Village Green opened in late 2024, and it's been the anchor tenant driving daily traffic into Bridgeland Central ever since.

One Bridgeland Green — the area's first mass timber office building — opened in November 2025. That's not just an amenity. It's daytime employment inside the community, which is part of what makes Bridgeland Central function as a true live-work-play town center instead of just another retail strip.

What's Under Construction Right Now

P. Terry's Burger Stand, the Austin-based burger favorite, broke ground with a design built around cedar and quarried stone. Expected opening: early 2026. If it's not serving yet, it will be within weeks.

Terrapin Park is next. It spans 14 acres and will include two pools, a fitness center, sports courts, an outdoor kitchen, and a community center for events. Opening is targeted for summer 2026 — meaning it may already be open, or very close to it, by the time you're reading this.

The Announcement That Changes the Math: Toro District

In February 2026, the Houston Texans, Harris County, and Howard Hughes announced Toro District — an 83-acre mixed-use sports and entertainment development planned inside Bridgeland Central. The Texans' new headquarters and practice facility are the centerpiece, with an expected opening in 2029.

I want to be direct about why this matters. When an NFL franchise commits its headquarters to a specific zip code, that is not a short-term marketing play. It's a decade-plus capital commitment that pulls infrastructure, jobs, and visitors into the area around it. Homeowners in Bridgeland don't need to wait until 2029 to benefit — the announcement itself is already shaping how buyers and appraisers think about long-term value here.

New Homes Going in Right Inside Bridgeland Central

Easthaven at Bridgeland Central, built by David Weekley Homes, is bringing single-family homes with courtyards and optional rooftop terraces, designed so residents can walk to shops, restaurants, and parks instead of driving. This is the first residential product built specifically to sit inside the town center itself, not just near it.

Timeline at a Glance

Late 2024 — H-E-B at Village Green openeds. November 2025 — One Bridgeland Green (office) opened. February 2026 — Toro District announced. Early 2026 — P. Terry's Burger Stand opened. Summer 2026 — Terrapin Park opens. 2029 — Houston Texans HQ and practice facility open.

What Buyers Get for Their Money Near Bridgeland Central

Bridgeland's median sold price sits around $550K — a roughly $215K premium over the broader Cypress median of $335K. That premium is the amenity tax, and Bridgeland Central is a growing share of what buyers are paying for. A short walk to a grocery-anchored town center with parks, dining, and eventually an NFL practice facility isn't something you find anywhere else in Cypress.

How This Compares Across Cypress

Towne Lake has its lake and trail system. Marvida has newer construction and lower price points. Dunham Pointe has its own 25-acre retail village breaking ground this summer with names like Shake Shack and Amorino Gelato. But none of them have anything approaching Toro District's scale. If a walkable town center with a permanent employer base is a priority for you, Bridgeland is currently the only community in Cypress building one at this level.

Bottom Line

Bridgeland Central is roughly half built. The retail and office core is open and functioning. The recreation piece opens this summer. The sports and entertainment piece won't be finished until 2029 — but the announcement alone has already changed how this community is priced and positioned against the rest of Cypress.
